Privacy policy
Effective 2026-08-26. Applies to neutrotv.com, app.neutrotv.com, api.neutrotv.com and the NeutroTV player software. NeutroTV is operated by NeutroCorp.
What we collect and why
Account data
To give you a dashboard login we store your email address, your name if you provide one, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), your role in the account, and the name and time zone of your store. If you invite colleagues we store their email addresses as well.
Content you upload
Images, videos, PDFs, template text (for example product names and prices), logos and schedules are stored so they can be delivered to your screens. They belong to you; we look at them only to operate the service (for example to transcode a video) or when you ask for support.
Screen telemetry
Each player reports operational data so you can see whether it is healthy: a heartbeat, the player and system version, Wi-Fi band and signal strength, storage use, what it is currently showing, a periodic screenshot of its own output (your signs, not a camera), and play events used for proof-of-play reports. A hardware serial number identifies the board so a replaced SD card can re-pair to the same screen.
Integrations you connect
If you connect Google Calendar we store the OAuth tokens needed to read the calendars you select, encrypted at rest, and a cache of upcoming events for display. You can disconnect at any time from the dashboard, which deletes the tokens. Weather and NOAA widgets use the location you configure; no personal data is sent to those services.
API keys and webhooks
API keys are stored only as SHA-256 fingerprints. Webhook endpoint URLs and delivery logs (status codes, timestamps) are stored so failed deliveries can be retried and shown to you.
Billing
Where a subscription is billed by card, payment details are handled by Stripe; we store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the subscription status, not card numbers.
Server logs
Our web servers keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
- We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on any NeutroTV site or in the dashboard. This marketing site loads no analytics and sets no cookies.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- Players have no camera or microphone input; the "picture" in the dashboard is a capture of the player's own video output.
Who can see your data
Your data is isolated per account; users of other accounts cannot see it. NeutroTV staff access it only to operate the service or to help you when you ask. Service providers that process data on our behalf: our hosting and storage infrastructure, Stripe for payments, Google (only if you connect Google Calendar), and our transactional email provider for alerts and account emails.
Retention
Account data and content are kept while your account is active. Screen screenshots are overwritten by the next capture; heartbeat history and play events are kept for reporting and rolled up over time. When an account is closed we delete its content and data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for accounting or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can view and change your account details in the dashboard, delete signs and screens yourself, and ask us at support@neutrotv.com to export or delete your data or close your account. We answer from the same address.
Security
Traffic to all NeutroTV hosts is encrypted with HTTPS. Players authenticate with per-device credentials issued at pairing. Passwords are hashed; API keys are fingerprinted; calendar tokens are encrypted at rest. If we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify account owners by email.
